For over 25 years, I’ve been helping people feel lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves.
My practice brings together holistic health, NLP, and hypnotherapy to help adults and children release fears, change unhelpful habits, and reconnect with their sense of purpose and wellbeing.
I see clients both locally and online, as hypnotherapy is just as effective via Zoom. In fact, one of my most successful weight-loss clients was based in Germany and achieved a 20kg reduction through online sessions.

Hypnotherapy
We are in “trance” or hypnosis, everyday. Watching a movie, cleaning your teeth, driving, these are all performed unconsciously, where we no longer consciously need to think how we do them. Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation that enables the conscious mind to move over, the subconscious come to the fore front, and new suggestions be embedded, creating positive change.
As Hypnotherapists, we work with our clients when they are in Alpha or Theta, that is, when our brain waves have slowed down, just as they are just before we fall asleep.
Hypnotherapy is an uplifting, restorative therapy, which clears negative emotions, limiting beliefs, and rewires and restores you, enabling you to live the life you were born to have.
At Vanessa Donlan Hypnotherapy, along with NLP, addresses the root cause of the problem, releasing what no longer serves you, creating new pathways for new feelings and behaviours.
No one can hypnotise you, in fact we facilitate the process, but you hypnotise yourself, you are completely aware of everything around you. In actuality, it’s very much a beautiful calm, relaxing state, a little bit like a guided meditation.
